Cysts can form anywhere on the body and vary in size and depth. Often a cyst will be non-cancerous and painless. Although the risk of Disease is relatively high leading to discomfort or aesthetic concern.  You can have different types of Cysts such as:

• Sebaceous Cysts


• Epidermoid Cysts


• Pilonidal Cysts

Cysts typically range in size from a pea to a few centimetres across. it’s important to see a doctor to get any cysts checked out, especially if they:

• Are new or growing rapidly


• Are large or become painful


• Change in appearance

It’s important to note that while cysts are benign, there is a rare type of cancerous cysts called a Malignant Cyst. Malignant Cysts can be identified through cells which mutinous material which secretes into the Cyst. These Cysts can be classed into two categories:

• Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasms


• Mucinous Cystic Neoplasms
